Dalmation

6x6 watercolor and Micron 01 ink sketch on this lovely dog with his festive neck collar, painted today on Masters paper.  Thanks to Leada Wood for getting me started on this square format sketchbook; I've filled up one completely and almost another.  The paper really sets up watermedia well.

West HIghland Terrier

6x8.5 watercolor of a cute rescue Westie I met yesterday while walking at the dog park.  The owner explained the dog had been saved from the pound and he named it Mattie O'Brien due to its Scottish heritage.

Diva

Here is Diva. She is a good dog and rather old.
Fur all over the place 8-) A happy soul even in the snow. She belongs to a friend of mine.

I use watercolor and wax to paint her. I wanted to see what the wax painting is about. Interesting stuff. Learn alot about this way to get things done. Fun too.
Enjoy Carole

Border Patrol

11 x 6.25 watercolor painted this past weekend in under 2 hours.  This is Jean's daughter's puppy Chloe; Jean was the host this week on WetCanvas.  I like the white chest that resembles the shape of the state of Texas.

Mulligan

15x11 on Saunders Waterford 140 lb cold press, drawn in 8 minutes and painted in about 1.5 hours this afternoon. Mulligan is Alain's dog (WetCanvas member) and she was very tired when he shot this pix of her that is used with permission for this weekend's drawing event. I used a #12 round and very few colors.
