We have all been busy getting ready for the Pet Show at the Heritage Museum opening September 17th and running thru November 2. Now you may say that chickens are not pets but I am here to tell you I had a pet chicken...it followed me everywhere and I loved that bird! Come see the show when you can!

Barn Cat Challenge

Here is a photo of Callie, my brother's barn cat, that I snapped at Thanksgiving. She has litter after litter and looks none the happier for all her barn service. She was eating pecan pie shortly before I took this.
CHALLENGE: Paint Callie in this rustic setting and include other elements of farm life such as a sunset sky, a windmill, birds soaring overhead, a mouse peeking out behind her, chickens watching, etc.
