Douglas Walton's Art

This is an acrylic collage/mixed media on 12x12 wrapped canvas done by M. Douglas Walton, who just finished up a week long class with most of the Caboose artists this week in Big Spring, TX.  Held at the Heritage Museum, he pushed and guided us in the right design paths to better artistic expression.  With this work shown here, he added tissue paper collage and jewelry in a nonobjective pattern of vibrant primary colors balanced by calming neutrals.  I loved this one so purchased it for my home.

Is Everyone Ready for a Douglas Experience???

A week from today we'll all be getting ready for another 5 days of hell, much like Doug Walton's work here in his mission series we watched him paint in Arlington a few years back. I love this painting and the pure energy it has.
Just learned a friend from West Texas Watercolor Society will be joining us, so I hope she is ready for a Douglas Experience! I know the Caboose gals are!
