Surprise Visit

Today three of the Caboose gals showed up and here we are taking a group selfie at my studio Brushworks in Big Spring.  They found out I was on vacation and this was a nice way to spend the hot afternoon! Left to right:  Kay, Leada, Sue, Linda.

Caboose Gals at Big Spring Art Association 60th Anniversary

L to R:  Kay Smith, Estelle Howard, Leada Wood, Sue Bagwell, and Linda Rupard Irvin in front.  (Not present - Carole Berry).
Tonight we attended the 60th anniversary show of the Big Spring Art Association where some had works displayed except for Sue, Leada, and Carole.  Five of us were members of the art organization except Leada, and that is how we initially met one another.  Llano Estacado Winery was present at the Heritage Museum during this event and as a promotional fundraiser, many in town attended.
**NOTE - beginning next month thru Christmas holiday season several of us will have animals in snow scenes for another Caboose exhibit also at the museum.

Some of Our Artists

Four of us met at Colorado City lake for a weekend painting retreat yesterday. Standing L to R:
Kay, Leada. Sitting L to R: Carole, Sue. We are minus Estelle and Linda. Meeting at Sue's lake cabin we had fun watching flash flooding and painting our butts off till the wee hours. Food and fellowship were in great supply amongst friends. After all we are just starving artists!
