Linda's Challenge - Or My Magnolias

22x15 watercolor on Italia Acquerello 140 cold press paper finished up today. Linda's challenge called for us to use magnolia photos as inspiration, so that I did, using only a black and white print. All color is fabricated as are the leaves and blooms. Her photos were white blooms so mine are pink tinged. Look closely and you can see negative stems and shapes hiding amongst the tree branches.

Nicely painted, Kay! I haven't even begun that challenge yet. I've had too many irons in the fire. I may be sitting this one out. Your magnolias are really beautiful. This is a beauty.
