Resuscitation Efforts, or How to Awaken a Dead Watercolor

"Callas Confetti", 15x22 on Italia 140 lb cold press paper by Dick Blick. This one was done a few years ago and was such a dog you could hear it barking all over town. Everyone seeing it wanted to turn it upside down so I did (the view you see here). Yesterday began adding and intensifying colors and increasing contrasts, and today added a background as the white paper was too sterile. At the end I just threw paint on it. See what you think. Now off to find the original file to post for comparison.

I like this one better now Kay. I remember seeing it at the Christmas party but love all the wonderful color you added to it.

I don't remember the before but do like this one. It looks like it is on slick paper? Gesso or cold press? Nice texture.

Linda, read my description, it says what paper was used. Thanks for the remarks, too! I couldn't get these effects on Yupo.
